Demonstration Class, Taught by Guest Instructor Dena Fisher of Dena’s Table
Have you always wanted to bake beautiful, crusty sourdough bread but felt intimidated by the process? Well, now is your chance to learn the basics of sourdough and tackle it with confidence with guest instructor, Dena Fisher of Dena’s Table! In this popular demonstration-style beginner’s class, Dena walks us through all the essential techniques of making sourdough, including how to feed and maintain your starter, mix and knead dough, and shape perfect loaves, showing us every stage of bread making. From there, enjoy a delicious winter lunch that includes housemade soup & salad featuring Dena’s sourdough crackers, croutons and fresh-baked loaves. Every student will also leave with their own active sourdough starter to begin their baking journey at home! Bread-proofing kits and additional bread-baking accessories will also be available for purchase in our Laurel Run Kitchen Shoppe.
